Hello there:

My name is Pastor Isaac Bueckert. I was born in Calgary Alberta As a child I used to ride the Sunday school bus to church and listened to the teacher and preachers talk about the Lord Jesus Christ and how he died for me. When I was about 7 I memorized Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. When I memorized that scripture I can remember the Lord tugging on my heart saying he did that for me. Many years passed but the seed from that scripture was growing in me. When I was in my early teens I became very involved in my youth group at the church and even decided I wanted to be a preacher when I grew up. The Lord had yet to bring me to the end of my good works and to the place where I could trust in him and what he did for me on the cross. When I was 17 I came under deep conviction of sin that I would have to one day pay the penalty for all my sin. I was reminded of the time I had memorized John 3:16 and I realized I had never trusted in Christ to be my savior. On January 30 of 1980 at the age of 17 I bowed my knee to the Lord Jesus Christ and received him as my personal savior from sin. All the fear and all the unrest I had in my heart disappeared. I can testify today that I know that I serve a risen savior because I know he lives in my heart.
After accepting Christ I began to really grow in my understanding of him. I worked under Doctor John Cook and trained in the local church Bible Institute. I have helped to start churches in Western Canada which brought me to Nanaimo B.C. We started the Open Door Baptist Church. I finished my Bible Institute courses and graduated in January of 1990. During this time in my life I met my wife to be, Lisa-jo. We were married on September 1st 1990 in Nanaimo. Then in June of 1991 we moved to Red Deer to help with the church that Pastor cook was starting. Over the years I have worked as a Sunday school teacher, Song leader, Assistant Pastor and usually the janitor. We worked with Pastor Cook until 1995. At that time I was called to be the Pastor and have been here since. Over the years the Lord has blessed our home with 6 children. We have four girls and Two boys Lisa and I know that our lives have been blessed beyond what we deserve and desire to give him the glory for his working in our lives. Lisa home schools our children and is my help meet. My wife is my best friend and the support she has been to me as we have served here is beyond words that could be added to this brief summary of my life.
I have been a bi vocational pastor most the time here in Red Deer. Two years ago I gave up my full time job as a supervisor of the night shift cleaning staff at the Red Deer college and the Lord has provided for us mostly through our church. God is faithful.
My philosophy of ministry is one of constantly looking outward to see others come to Christ. Everywhere we go we need to be lifting up the Lord Jesus Christ that others would be drawn to him. My heart is to see others come to know the Lord and then to take up there cross and follow him.

To preach the word, in season and out of season
